Sculptures
I produced this piece after taking a workshop on cardboard sculpting. In total it took fifteen hours, or just a little under three days. My inspiration for the sculpture was the famous painting The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo, which depicts God and man reaching out to each other yet being separated.
This was a piece I produced as part of my gcse course. It is terracotta clay mounted on a wooden panel. I used plywood pieces to hold up the face and chest, and glued dried flowers to the undersides of the sculpture.
Still Life Drawings
Still life of metallic objects found in my home. Made with different grades of graphite pencil and charcoal sticks for the darkest parts.
Quick sketch fifteen minute sketch, from life of an elderly man I was sat next to at the library. My drawing style for this piece was inspired by the illustrations in Roal Dahl books.
Five minute quick sketch of flowers in my room, drawn using charcoal sticks.
Explorations of Colour
Twenty minute exploration sketch using black felt tip marker and colouring pencil.
Photography
This photographs I created while exploring a project based around beauty standards and ideals. I used a studio to create specific lighting and then edited the pictures later on digital software.
These photographs I took while working on my second year A Level course for a project on cinematography in the aim of telling a story using still pictures.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my portfolio, I hope to hear from you soon on my submission.

Kind Regards, Aurora Novella.
